Over the next thirty days you will incorporate a simple phrase into your routine right before going to sleep and first thing when waking up. "XX is the date that I'm not going to smoke anymore." The phrase is only said once. It is a statement that is made and no thought is necessary.</p><p>
The next exercise involves another step towards getting the subconscious on board with the conscious decision. Each time you pick up a cigarette hold it for a moment and smell it. Think to yourself, "On xx day, I'm going to quit smoking and I'll be able to save xx dollars and won't have to hold this stinky thing anymore." Don't repeat it, just say it to yourself once. Also, it is important to think the phrase conversational statement, not as a command. Just remember to do it every time that you pick up a cigarette or nicotine product.</p><p>
One will usually notice that they have significantly reduce their nicotine intake by the time their quitting date has arrived. They will also notice that they do not suffer from the withdrawal pains that may methods that offer the opportunity to stop smoking without NRT offer.
